We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytical cookies. We only use technologies that are technically essential to operate our file compression service safely and efficiently. We use them for:

Security and Abuse Prevention: We use short-lived session cookies and background security checks (such as Cloudflare Turnstile) to differentiate human users from automated bots. This is essential to prevent abuse, enforce fair rate limits, and protect our infrastructure from spam and fraudulent activities.
Core Service Functionality: When you upload files for compression, we assign an anonymous, temporary session identifier. This allows our servers to group your files together and process your concurrent uploads reliably.
Authentication: If you create an account, we use cookies to keep you logged in and allow you to access the Services securely without re-entering your credentials.

Third-Party Essential Services

To protect our platform against automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile runs brief, invisible checks in your browser (such as Proof-of-Work computing) when you upload files. Turnstile is designed for privacy: it does not use tracking cookies, does not look for preexisting sessions, and does not retain your data for advertising purposes.

How can you opt-out?

Because the cookies and technologies we use are strictly necessary for the security and technical operation of the Services, there is no opt-out mechanism provided on our site. However, you can instruct your browser to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie. Please note that if you disable essential cookies or block background scripts, you will not be able to upload files or use Compressor.
